How to get certified with MCDBA certification in your first attempt?
Microsoft certified database administration certification clearly tells that the certification will suit best to the candidates who want to get selected as a database administrator in popular multinational companies. This certification not only helps the candidates to get selected as database administrator but also database analysts or database developer. Majority of the candidates who get certified with MCDBA certification will get their destination as database administrator. The only prerequisite necessary for this certification is that the candidates need to have at least some minimal knowledge in Microsoft SQL server field.
In order to complete your MCDBA certification, totally 4 examinations are necessary. From these 4 examinations, 3 examinations are the core types which are mandatory and one exam is elective where candidates can choose one subject from large number of subjects provided from Microsoft at the time of examination. It is recommended from Microsoft to the candidates that the selection of elective exam must be matched with their career designation or according to their current job role (for employees who are currently working and certifying the certification).

There are 4 examinations and each exam costs around 125 USD. Hence certifying this certification is an expensive as well as hard working is necessary. The following are the general tips to the candidates while taking up with the examination. They are:
1) All questions are mandatory and candidates cannot skip or edit any questions.
2) Since the answers cannot be changed or edited, candidates are requested to think well before they answer each question.
3) The minimum pass score in each mandatory/ core paper is 600 and in elective paper, it is 550.
4) Candidates can take up their examinations in any order and they can retake the papers in which they have failed alone. It is not necessary to the candidates that they have to attend all examinations if they have failed in one exam like other certification programs.
5) Similarly, it is not possible to the candidates to take re-attempt or improvement in the exam which they have passed.
